XR Stories - Culture & Heritage event 2023

AUTHOR: IN: DATE: 30 AUGUST 2023

We felt the sense of time travel taking part in the XR Stories event this week, looking at how the Culture and Heritage sector can use XR for storytelling and to enhance the customer experience.

XRStories is one of the UK’s creative hubs tasked with stimulating the research and development of XR. It is attached to the University of York, where one of our board directors studied English Literature more than 20 years ago, in the days when stories lived in libraries of books!

We couldn't help but wonder what technology we will be talking about in two decades time!

It was very inspiring to meet like-minded people in the room looking to use the channels creatively and for positive ends. Frontgrid has several VR installations which have been successfully situated in museums.  Flying in VR offers a futuristic way to explore any environment and exhibition narrative.

Get in touch if you would like to explore creating custom content for your attraction.
